Culture in Tel Aviv
Tel Aviv has many things to offer. If it’s a large verity of food, a dynamic nightlife scene or the beautiful coastline.
People that already visited the city testify that there is some different vibe to it, some creative energy that is unexplainable, so if you are a culture enthusiast, Tel Aviv is definitely a good place to explore.
Here is a list of the main museums in Tel Aviv.
1) Helena Rubinstein Pavillion of contemporary art – Located in the cultural center of the city, alongside the national theater of Israel, “Habima” and the “Hall of culture”.
The Museum hosts changing exhibitions of all styles of contemporary art, local and from abroad.

2) Eretz Israel Museum (land of Israel Museum) –
The largest museum in Tel Aviv focuses on the history of the land of Israel. The museum contains exhibits in the diverse fields of archeology, ethnography, post and philately, folklore, Judaica, traditional crafts, and popular art, cultural history, and local identity. The highlight of the museum is an innovative planetarium.

3) Tel Aviv Museum of art –
With different departments such as Israeli art, contemporary art, architecture and design and the old masters department, Tel Aviv Museum of art is one of the most extensive museums in the country.
In addition to the regular schedule of exhibitions, the museum offers a vibrant selection of programs and activities for adults, youth and children: concerts, classes, lectures, guided tours, workshops, and more.

4) Tel Aviv Bauhouse museum –
In 2003 UNESCO declared the “White City” neighborhood in Tel Aviv as a “World Heritage” site. Over 4000 buildings, designed according to the German “Bauhouse” style make Tel Aviv the city with the most “Bauhouse” buildings in the world.
In the lovely Bialik st, you can find the museum of Bauhouse, which is under private ownership and shows exhibitions, furniture and other belongings all connected to the unique style.

5) The para-military Organizations museums –
Before the declaration of the state of Israel in 1948 and the establishment of the IDF, there were 3 major Para-military organizations to protect the Jewish people in Palestine – Ha’agana, Hapalmah and the Etzel. Each organization has a museum that shows it’s history, members and it’s contribution to the creation of the state.
